I was around 12 when I tried to fix my first bug: getting a Harry Potter game to run on a Pentium 2 without proper graphics drivers and no internet connection. After hours of fiddling with config files, I got it working — on a 200×200 pixel window, in black and white. A small victory, but I was hooked and felt instant reward for trying to make it work.
I’m a generalist by nature (some might say all over the place), but I get pulled into all kinds of topics. Systems fascinate me — not just technical ones, but systems in general. I love a good logical challenge and always want to see what makes the moving pieces work, and why.
I’ve been a software developer for nearly nine years now, three of those years in managerial positions as well. At Codemancy, I currently work as a Senior Full-stack Developer.
Outside of work, I’m not a hardcore gamer, but I enjoy playing DayZ with friends, reading the occasional book, and watching good TV. I’m also into photography — I can easily lose three hours editing photos and chasing the best shots.
If I look grumpy sometimes, it’s probably just my morning coffee not waking me up properly.
